Support
Daylogger for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS
Daylogger is a personal, independent project. It's built and maintained in my spare time.
What to expect
- There's no support team and no guaranteed response time. Real bugs and reasonable feature requests are genuinely welcome, but they compete with everything else in life.
- A bug you can reliably reproduce is the most useful thing you can report and it's the one most likely to actually get fixed.
- Feature requests are read and considered, but only added if they fit the app's direction.
This isn't a reason to expect nothing. It's just an honest description of the pace and scope of a side project, so expectations are set correctly.
Reporting a bug
Email support@daylogger.app with as much of the following as you can. The more reproducible the report, the more likely it is to get looked at:
- What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
- Steps to reproduce it.
- Device and OS version (e.g. iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 18.6).
- Whether CloudSync is turned on, since sync related issues often depend on it.
- A screenshot or screen recording, if the issue is visual.
Suggesting a feature
Also to support@daylogger.app. A short description of the problem you're trying to solve is more useful than a fully-specified feature.
Common questions
My data isn't syncing between devices
- Confirm CloudSync is turned on in Settings on every device involved.
- Confirm all devices are signed into the same iCloud account.
- Check that iCloud Drive / this app's iCloud access hasn't been disabled in the device's system Settings.
- A fresh install can take a few minutes to pull down existing iCloud data on first launch.
A Lock Screen timer (Live Activity) isn't appearing on my other device
- Live Activities must be enabled for the app in the device's system Settings.
- Both devices need to be signed into the same iCloud account, with CloudSync on.
- This feature relies on a push notification arriving promptly — an occasional missed or delayed update is expected background behavior, not a sign of data loss. Opening the app resyncs the current state regardless.
Is my data private?
Yes — see the Privacy Policy page for the full explanation. In short: your data stays on your device and, if CloudSync is on, in your own private iCloud storage. The developer cannot see it.
